Our Current Needs:
| Food Donations |
Currently we are in need of : Beef broth, beef stew, canned carrots,
canned fruit of all kinds, chicken broth, coffee, napkins, paper towels, sugar. If
you are interested in donating food and would like to know or top priority need at the
moment please call (978) 681-8768. |
| Creative Contributions |
In the past, donors have been most creative in their efforts
to ease the suffering of people in our community by sharing their talents and their
resources. Volunteers have supplied our dining room tables with flowers, painted
murals on our walls, designed curtains for our windows, planted flowers in our yard.
Is there some way that you can add beauty and comfort to others' lives? We
welcome your ideas. |
| Holiday Gifts |
It is our tradition to give a gift to each of our hundreds of
guests during the December holiday season. If you are interested in helping us in
that effort, we would be happy to make a gift suggestion. In the past, warm winter
gloves have been a needed and favorite request, as well as warm socks. Warm hats are
also popular. We also enjoy celebrating various holidays throughout the year.
Would you like to donate table centerpieces for a special occasion? Contribute
candy treats for the fourth of July, or cards for Valentines? Please be in
touch. We would love to hear from you. |
| Volunteer Help |
Volunteer
(18 years of age or older) are needed to staff our community meal
from 4 PM to 8 PM on Mondays,Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Anyone interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities
at Bread & Roses is encouraged to attend a Volunteer Orientation.
Orientations are held throughout the year.If you are considering attending
an orientation, please call (978) 681-8768 for info about the next
orientation date. |
| Youth Volunteers |
High School students are welcome to volunteer during the
evening meal with their teachers or parents. To learn how your high school can
participate in our student volunteer program, please contact Bread & Roses at
(978) 681-8768. Students of all ages can contribute greatly to Bread & Roses by
donating baked goods, organizing food drives, participating in "cleaning days",
coordinating a fundraiser, donating holiday gifts, as well as creating special cards,
placemats and table favors for our nightly guests. Please call to see how you can
help. |
| Financial Contributions |
We rely totally on private donations to support our work of
hunger relief and hospitality. Any gift, great or small, would be a significant help
in our ongoing efforts to respond to the needs of the hungry in our community.

Bread and Roses is a charitable, non profit organization. Contributions to
Bread & Roses are tax deductible. If you are interested in giving a gift in
honor of or in memory of someone you know, please click on donation form, print and
fill out and mail it to Bread & Roses with your contribution. An
acknowledgement will be sent to the honoree or, in the case of a memorial contribution, to
the family member indicated.
